Hawaii Tourism reaping the benefits of the movie industry

ʻO ke kākoʻo ʻana i ka poʻe ʻoihana ma ka ʻoihana kiʻiʻoniʻoni a me ka ʻoihana media he ʻāpana koʻikoʻi o ke kūkulu ʻana i kahi ʻāpana hana hoʻomohala e hoʻoulu ai i nā manawa hana a kākoʻo i ka mākaʻikaʻi kahi i hana ʻia a hana ʻia ai ke kiʻiʻoniʻoni.

Award-winning Hawaii filmmaker Vilsoni (“Vili”) Hereniko is teaming up with Australian producer Trish Lake (“Early Winter”), and New Zealand producer Catherine Fitzgerald (“The Orator”) to coproduce “Until the Dolphin Flies.” Production of the motion picture will begin in early 2018.

With a cast and crew that will stay within the islands as filming takes place, Hawaii’s tourism industry will also benefit when they dine out, stay in hotels, rent cars, and take tours.

And there’s the indirect benefit of having the islands of Hawaii forever captured as the backdrop for the film.
